Biostimulator treatments are injectable approaches in which the goal may include supporting collagen response and tissue quality over time, depending on the material used. At Dr. Ersin Ataman’s clinic in Nilüfer, Bursa, product choice is based on anatomy, tissue needs and the treatment area.
What is a biostimulator?
“Biostimulator” is not a single substance. Materials such as calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) have different properties, indications and treatment protocols. A standardized approach is therefore inappropriate.
How is it different from filler?
Hyaluronic-acid fillers are commonly planned for direct volume or contour support. With some biostimulatory materials, gradual tissue response is a major goal. Some treatment plans may combine different approaches when medically appropriate.
Which areas can be assessed?
Depending on the product, selected facial, lower-face, jawline, neck or skin-quality concerns may be assessed. Not every product is appropriate for every anatomical area.
When are results assessed?
Some biostimulatory effects develop gradually. Review timing depends on the material and protocol, and individual response varies.
